Big Question, little boy

During dinner tonight were stopped suddenly when my 4 year old son opened up his mouth and asked the question, "um...How the sun come up?"

I just couldn't answer that one on the spot. If anyone ever looks at this page in the future, please respond and suggest how you would have answered that one. I know how to explain it, but to get it at the dinner table out of the blue was a little more than I could handle. Besides, I don't know that I could explain it to a 4 year old.

Twinkle on Christmas

We were having fun on Christmas day and Abby and her Aunt Kaja did an un-rehearsed duet of Twinkle. They had fun and played some other pieces too.

Abby reading to Gabe

OK, if I am going to post on Gisela's blog, I should post on my own. So here is the same video of Abby reading to Gabe. I am a proud father and I can't help it. She is getting better by the day.

Gisela's Testimony

Here is Gisela's testimony. Posted again because of the same problem.

Osborne Rhapsody for Bassoon

My first attempt to record anything with my new recording device. I had this posted back in November, but lost it for the same reason as the other recordings. I want to try to record a little bit this year and will try to do better quality playing. It is something like a New Year's resolution, but not an important one.

I recorded this in my basement in a couple of hours using the Zoom H4 Handy Recorder. Thank you Papa for the gift.

Bile Them Cabbage Down

Same problem for Bile Them Cabbage Down. Here it is from November 2008.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

I used a poor archive service the last time I posted this, so I am doing it again. Here is Abby playing Twinkle back in November 2008.

I don't know why, I just like Joshua Trees. This was a shot from the car, so it is not the best shot. What a crazy drive from Los Angeles where we went from summer like weather to cooler and cooler weather as the day went on. Each valley we drove into had more and more snow, but the Joshua Trees were the best.
